What is Free Stock Videos – Public Domain or Royalty Free

What is Free Stock Videos?

Often we are confused by the terms “public domain”, “royalty free” free stock videos and a lot of people are unsure if they can safely use the free videos for their project.

Public Domain (PD) Videos

A public domain stock video or image means the video or image can be used for personal or commercial purposes without needing to get a permission. The exclusive intellectual property rights of the videos or images have either expired or surrendered, or are no longer valid.

Royalty-free (RF) Videos

Royalty-free (RF) videos is a copyright licence that allows the user to use the videos or images without limitations but for a one-time payment to the licensor. After one-time-payment, the user can use the videos or images on multiple project without the need to pay any extra fee. It is not possible to provide royalty free licences on an exclusive basis.
